The Perl Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications using Perl programming language. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Perl and its associated frameworks, as well as experience with database management systems. Success in this position will be demonstrated by the ability to deliver high-quality code that meets project requirements and deadlines. This role is critical to the success of our organization as it supports the development of our software products and services.

• Write and maintain Perl code for various projects.
• Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide input on technical feasibility.
• Troubleshoot and debug code to identify and fix issues.
• Write and maintain documentation for code and projects.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with new Perl developments and technologies.
• Test code to ensure it meets project requirements and is free of bugs.
• Optimize code for performance and scalability.
• Work with databases and other data sources to integrate data into projects.
• Provide technical support to end-users as needed.

1. Strong proficiency in Perl programming language
2. Experience in developing web applications using Perl frameworks such as Catalyst, Dancer, or Mojolicious
3. Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
4. Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and command line tools
5. Understanding of software development principles and methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
6. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
8. Strong communication and collaboration skills
9. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
10. Relevant certifications such as Perl Certification or Linux Certification.
